About the Artist

The Path to Creation

My journey into the world of art was not a linear one. For many years, my world was defined by the precision and structure of a career as a Certified Public Accountant. While that chapter of my life was built on logic and clear-cut boundaries, I always felt a pull toward a more fluid form of expression. Today, I have traded the balance sheets for a digital canvas, where I find a different kind of harmony in the layers of digital collage.

A Focus on Digital Imagery

As a digital collage artist, I am fascinated by the stories that emerge when disparate elements are brought together. Living and working exclusively through my iPad and iPhone, I embrace the portability and intimacy of these tools to create work that is deeply personal. For me, the process is less about the technical specifications of the medium and more about the alchemy of the imagery itself. I am drawn to the way a specific texture or a forgotten fragment can spark a new narrative, creating a bridge between the artist’s vision and the viewer’s imagination.

Resilience and Vision

My work is inextricably linked to my personal history and the resilience I have found through life’s most challenging moments. Having navigated significant health milestones and personal loss, I view my art as a testament to the beauty that can be reconstructed from life’s fragments. This perspective allows me to approach each piece with a sense of gratitude and a keen eye for the quiet strength found in art.

Through my digital creations, I invite you to explore a world where the past is reimagined, and where the act of creating is, in itself, a form of healing and discovery.

About the Art

The Philosophy of Fragments

Art, for me, is an act of reconstruction. In a world that often feels fragmented, digital collage allows me to gather disparate elements—textures, vintage imagery, light, and shadow—and weave them into a singular, cohesive narrative. My work is an exploration of how separate parts, each with their own history, can be reimagined to tell a story that didn’t exist until they met on the canvas.

The Artist's Hand

While the medium is digital, the soul of the work is deeply tactile. I approach each piece with the mindset of a collector and a storyteller. My focus is not on the technicality of the software, but on the alchemy of the imagery. I look for the tension between a weathered edge and a vibrant hue, or the way a silhouette can ground an ethereal landscape.

The "digital" aspect is simply the infinite workbench that allows me to play with transparency and depth, ensuring that every layer serves the emotional core of the piece.

Themes and Vision

My creations often dwell in the space between memory and imagination. You will find:

• Surreal Landscapes: Environments that feel familiar yet impossible.

• Juxtaposition: Placing the organic alongside the structured to find a hidden harmony.

• Emotional Resonance: Using light and color to evoke a sense of quiet contemplation or sudden wonder.

Each piece is an invitation to look closer—to find the small details hidden within the layers and to find your own story within the imagery I have brought together.
